Introduction
Andrew Ng is a prominent computer scientist, educational innovator, and investor. He is an associate professor of computer science at Stanford University and spearheaded massive open online courses in machine learning.
Google Brain & Deep Learning
In 2011, Ng founded Google Brain, a deep learning research project. He led the famous "cat experiment," in which a neural network detected cats from unlabelled YouTube videos. He later served as Chief Scientist at Baidu, building their AI groups.
AI Education
Ng co-founded Coursera in 2012, bringing Stanford course materials to global learners. He later launched DeepLearning.AI to train millions of developers in deep neural networks, AI deployment, and data-centric AI methodologies.
